The OpportunityWe are seeking an enthusiastic podiatrist, with a minimum of two years clinical podiatry experience to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary adult Allied Health and Nursing team for an 8-month fixed-term parental leave position.The successful podiatrist will join an established podiatry team, and may work at one or more of our podiatry sites - Ashburton, Doncaster East, Hawthorn and Richmond, pending experience and service demand. Preferred days are negotiable Monday – Friday.The podiatrist will be client-centred in their approach and advocacy, with an ability to communicate and build rapport with clients and colleagues alike. They will demonstrate best practice in podiatric care for a range of commonly referrals including but not limited to diabetes foot care and education; general foot care; wound care; biomechanical assessment and management; footwear assessment and education and nail surgery. While the majority of podiatry consults are clinic based, home visits also form part of our service.Efficiency and confidence to work independently are required to fulfil the role requirements, which includes working with a culturally, socially and ethnically diverse adult clientele under a variety of funding models.
