The OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary adult Allied Health and Nursing team and complement our existing dietetic service.This permanent part time 0.6 FTE role is based primarily at our Doncaster East site, and will combine face to face and telehealth consults to deliver care to clients. Flexibility to work from home up to 1 day per week can be considered.The successful dietitian will be client-centred in their approach and advocacy, with an ability to communicate and build rapport with clients and colleagues alike. They will demonstrate best practice in medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education for a range of common health conditions seen in community, including but not limited to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight management, gastrointestinal health, osteoporosis, nutrition deficiency, under-nutrition and oral nutrition support.Initiative, efficiency, and confidence to work independently are required to fulfil the role requirements, which includes working with a culturally, socially and ethnically diverse adult clientele under a variety of funding models, and may include group education facilitation, student supervision and contribution to quality improvement activities.Opportunities for clinical peer supervision and continuous professional development are encouraged, alongside a requirement for APD status and membership eligibility with Dietitians Australia.
