The OpportunityWe are pleased to offer this maternity leave position to an experienced and enthusiastic podiatrist. We have a dynamic team of 9 podiatrists working across 4 sites, providing clinical services to our local communities. The team work in collaboration with a large multidisciplinary team at Access Health and Community, as well as with partner organisations such as Eastern Health. Our podiatry clinics offer services through a number of funding streams, including NDIS, MBS, Home Care Package, MAC and Community Health and HACC. We pride ourselves in providing accessible high quality podiatry care to our community and continue to look for opportunities to improve our services and ensure evidence based clinical practice. In this role you will work primarily at either our Doncaster East or Richmond site, alongside podiatry colleagues, a podiatry allied health assistant and other allied, mental health and community services. You will be supported by a Grade 3 Podiatrist and report to the Manager of Podiatry, Dietetics and Diabetes Nurse Education. Clinically you will be exposed to a range of podiatric presentations – including biomechanics, paediatrics, wound care, diabetes assessment and management and general podiatry care. ResponsibilitiesProvide podiatry clinical services that are evidence based, to community membersProvide Podiatry clinical services through a range of funding models including NDIS, MBS, Home Care Package, MAC and block funded.Participate in and contribute to podiatry service improvement activities as led by the Grade 3 podiatrist and ManagerParticipate in clinical supervision with the Grade 3 podiatrist and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional education Skills & ExperienceBachelor of Podiatry (or equivalent)Current registration with AHPRAExperience working as a podiatry clinician in the public sector – community and/or acute.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary teamMeets the key selection criteria as outlined in the Position Description. NDIS Worker Screening CheckAn NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance will be required for the role prior to commencement.
