We are seeking a passionate and suitably qualified AOD Youth Clinician for a permanent part time role (.6EFT) WHO ARE WE?AccessHC is a community health service that operates in Inner East of Melbourne and surrounds, offering a range of medical, health and community services. The Alcohol and Other Drug service at AccessHC offers a number of specialist AOD services to the community at no cost to clients, including:Youth services for clients aged 12-25 yearsAdult services for clients aged 16 years + including comprehensive assessment, counselling, Care & Recovery Coordination and Non-Residential WithdrawalForensic assessment and treatment servicesFamily counselling for family/friends affected by substance useThe Medication Support & Recovery Service, a dedicated treatment service for people using over-the-counter or prescription medicationsPeer support services including individual support and group programsA secondary NSP on site to promote harm reduction for clients who are injecting drugs WHAT IS THE ROLE? The AOD Youth Clinician will work with young people (aged 12-25) affected by substance use to provide assessment, support, therapeutic counselling, case management and outreach services. The role will primarily involve clinic-based therapeutic interventions with young people, with a small component of outreach. In addition, the role involves developing and maintaining partnerships with local schools, youth services and working closely the Access HC Headspace service in Hawthorn. This role will be based between our Hawthorn and Doncaster East sites, with some work from home activities required during the COVID-19 pandemic. WHY WORK WITH US?
