The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our energetic Child & Family Team at Access Health & Community. We are seeking a dynamic Grade 2 or experienced Grade 1 Speech Pathologist.
This role is ideal for an applicant who demonstrates a passion for working within a multi and transdisciplinary supportive team environment in the wonderful world of paediatrics where your ideas are genuinely valued. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape and evolve our service delivery.
You’ll be part of a close-knit and supportive team including over 40 paediatric allied health professionals with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, best-practice services to pre-school and school-aged children and their families within the communities in the Eastern and Outer Eastern suburbs.
This is a Fulltime position however we are open to consider candidates that would be looking for a part time 0.8EFT role. The role is based in Lilydale with the ability to travel to the Belgrave site.
About the role
The position encompasses promotion of health and wellbeing across the spectrum from prevention and early intervention through to a range of goal-directed treatments and care planning. The role is expected to foster an environment that reflects family-centred care. A Senior Speech Pathologist will provide one-to-one supervision and multiple peer supervision opportunities exist to support a rich learning environment.
Your caseload will include children between 0 and 12 years with developmental delays and disability, typically with mild and moderate support needs. You will support children to progress goals around speech clarity, language development, social communication, pre-literacy, participation in daily routines and inclusion in education settings.
