The opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and values-based culture with an engaged workforce at headspace South Melbourne, a part of Access Health and Community (AccessHC). We are dedicated to providing mental health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), and wellbeing services to young people aged 12-25. Our mission is to create an empowering environment where young people feel encouraged to seek help and thrive. You will ensure that young people seeking counselling are linked in with family, community and friendships networks, have pathways to education and workforce participation and have access to a range of support and services in relation to health, housing and developmental needs. Reporting to the Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a holistic and welcoming approach to young people and their families. This role includes managing a small caseload, facilitating clinical meetings, and overseeing risk escalations. The team conducts mental health assessments, collaborates on care plans, and coordinates support with families and professionals. Supported by the headspace Manager, you will uphold evidence-based clinical standards to deliver high-quality in-person and telehealth services.
The salary range for this role is $111,387 – $126,819 plus superannuation, with access to salary packaging benefits.
We welcome applications from individuals with postgraduate qualifications in psychology and current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist. We also encourage Mental Health Social Workers, and professionals with a Master of Counselling or experience specialising in AOD backgrounds to apply.
