You will build strong partnerships with community members, local businesses, and stakeholders, ensuring that Trentwood at the Hub remains a vital and vibrant space for connection and learning.What you will be doing Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Management: Design and implement community programs and activities that meet local needs, recruiting tutors and facilitators to deliver high-quality sessionsCommunity Engagement & Partnerships: Build strong relationships with local businesses, schools, service providers, and community groups to foster collaboration and resource-sharingMarketing & Events: Work with the Marketing & Engagement Coordinator to promote programs through digital and print media, and coordinate engaging community eventsSite Coordination & Operations: Oversee the maintenance and functionality of Trentwood at the Hub, liaising with contractors and ensuring a welcoming and safe environmentVolunteer & Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and tutors, ensuring alignment with AccessHC policiesGovernance & Reporting: Maintain accurate administrative records, evaluate programs, and adhere to funding guidelines set by Boroondara Council and other stakeholdersWhat you will bring Key Selection CriteriaTertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in program development and marketing, with a strong understanding of community needs and engagement strategiesProject & event management expertise, with the ability to plan, promote, and execute impactful initiativesStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience supervising staff and volunteersExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with people from diverse cultural and social backgroundsAbility to build networks and partnerships, collaborating with community stakeholders and service providersProficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applicationsAttributesAn ability to work sensitively with people of diverse cultures, abilities, ages, sexualities and gender identitiesEffective time management and prioritisation skillsWell-developed presentation and report writing skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Access Health and Community valuesAccess Health and Community Culture and BenefitsAt Access Health and Community, we offer more than just a fulfilling career—we provide an environment where you can thrive in a culture of collaboration and support.
