The opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate, experienced, and team-oriented Podiatrists to step into the pivotal role of Senior Clinician – Podiatry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape podiatry services within Access Health & Community (AccessHC), delivering high-quality, client-centred care and clinical leadership across our Outer East and Manningham regions.
As a Senior Clinician, you will balance a diverse clinical caseload with key leadership responsibilities, including supporting the professional development of podiatry staff, contributing to service development initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of evidence-based care. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment, with opportunities to influence integrated care pathways, student supervision, and innovation in podiatry service delivery.
What you will be doing
- Deliver face-to-face, home-based, and telehealth podiatry care to clients across a wide range of funding streams (e.g. CHSP, NDIS, ICDM, MBS, HACC, HCP/SaH, private)
- Provide services spanning general podiatry, diabetes foot care, high-risk foot management, wound care, biomechanics, orthotics, musculoskeletal conditions, nail surgery, paediatrics, and chronic disease management
- Lead clinical supervision and practice support for Grade 1 and Grade 2 Podiatrists, as well as guidance to Allied Health Assistants
- Triage referrals, support quality improvement initiatives, and actively contribute to podiatry-related health promotion and group education
- Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including tertiary institutions, GPs, hospitals, and community partners
- Ensure clinical standards, infection control practices, and documentation comply with organisational policies and funding requirements
What you will bring Key Selection Criteria
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in community health, hospital-based High Risk Foot Clinics and/or private practice
- Current AHPRA registration and eligibility for Australian Podiatry Association membership
- Demonstrated excellence in delivering client-centred, evidence-based podiatry services
- Strong experience providing clinical supervision and professional mentoring within a team environment
- Proven ability to manage diverse clinical presentations and lead podiatry service delivery across complex funding models
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (e.g., TrakCare) and Microsoft Office.
