The opportunity
An exciting new opportunity to join our thriving community health care organisation and work within a truly supportive and valued based culture and engaged workforce. As part of the Ageing and Social Support team, we offer a variety of individual social support and group activities. Hours are mainly Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm. Our qualified staff provide individualised care and support to assist each of our clients (and their carers) to stay active, connected, involved and independent at home.
About the role
As a casual Support Worker, you will actively support clients (aged 65 and over) to remain living independently at home and engaging with them in social activities 1:1 and at times within a group setting at our day centre. You will assist clients their basic care needs. You will also provide social support including taking clients on outings to the shops, the bank, a café or, out for a walk. You will also facilitate bus outings, leading clients on engaging and enjoyable day trips within the community.
You may be required to travel across the council areas of Yarra, Boroondara, Whitehorse and Manningham. We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We are seeking male and female support workers, and the following languages are desirable: Greek, Italian, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka.

The casual hourly rate: $32.73 plus 25% casual loading & 12% superannuation.
